Arthur and the Invisibles
French director Luc Besson adapted his own children's book, Arthur and the Minimoys, for this vivid, imagination-feulled family film starring Freddie Highmore as Arthur, a real-life boy drawn into the magical world of the fairy people. Arthur's grandmother (Mia Farrow) feeds his imagination with wondrous stories and pictures, but in reality his home is threatened by an unscrupulous property developer. Could there be any truth to the tale that there is fairy treasure at the bottom of the garden? Artfully animated, and hurtling along at a break-neck pace, a derivative plot didn't put off huge-name guest voices that include Madonna, Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel and Snoop Dogg. Followed by "Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard".
