The Dead

The last film of great American director, John Huston, is a faithful and artful adaptation of a James Joyce story from 'The Dubliners'. The screenplay is by his son, Tony Huston. A well-to-do family and their friends gather for a holiday meal and evening of musical entertainment. The revellers include Anjelica Huston, Dan O'Herlihy, Donal McCann, Cathleen Delany, Marie Kern and Donal Donnelly. A short and solemn swan song.
