Because I Said So

Diane Keaton plays the well-intentioned, though meddling mother of Mandy Moore in this family-oriented romantic comedy. As she tries to save her youngest, and romantically unlucky, daughter from the mistakes she made, Daphne (Keaton) places a carefully-worded personal ad to find her the perfect man. Probably not the best idea she's ever had, and choosing this role was perhaps not Keaton's brightest career move, but there are enough comic moments and weepy female-bonding scenes to keep the rom-com demographic happy.
