Red Doors

The Wongs are a kooky Chinese-American family living in the New York suburbs. Dad is about to retire and is seriously contemplating retiring from life all together. His three daughters don't exactly make him want to stick around, as each deals with their own personal crises. This bittersweet indie drama is at the pale end of dark comedy, and never strays too far from the premise that family bonds are a charm against the worst that life can throw at you. A promising feature debut from Georgia Lee, one-time apprentice and protege of Martin Scorsese.
