A Hong Kong gangster film that feels more like a Sergio Leone western with its lush, languid pace and ironically comic touches. Wo (Nick Cheung) has been exiled from his crime family and is trying to live a peaceful life, only his old boss (Simon Yam) would prefer to see him six feet under. He sends two assassins (Anthony Wong and Lam Suet) to do the dirty work, but Wo and his friends aren't about to go down without a fight. And since they've all know each other for years, there's no reason they can't be civil about it. A great cast in the hands of veteran director Johnnie To, makes this a great return to form for HK gangster cinema.
