The Ballad of Big Al

In 1991 an amazing fossilized skeleton was uncovered in Wyoming in the U.S.A. Upon examination it was determined that this was the skeleton of a male Allosaurus, a carnivorous dinosaur that lived about 145 million years ago. Using modern forensic techniques, comparisons with modern relatives and scientific analysis, scientists piece together an accurate picture of the Big Al's life. This programme contains two separate half-hour segments.
