Devilman

An ambitious live adaptation of the popular long-running manga, created in 1972 by Go Nagai ('Cutie Honey'), this sprawling apocalyptic tale begins with the accidental release of Antarctic demons whose numbers spread through infection of the human population. The only hope for humanity is an unpromising-looking teen, Akira, who after encountering the disease, can transform into the demon-smacking superhero, Devilman. Aimed at the video game generation, with a cast of Japanese teen idols.
