The Long Way Home

Feeling crowded after moving in with his son and daughter-in-law, retired carpenter Thomas (Jack Lemmon) forms an unlikely friendship on the road. Free-spirited Leanne (Sarah Paulson) is driving across the United States and Thomas joins her on a hitchhiking odyssey from Kansas to California, where he hopes to reconnect with an old flame. Features great performances by actors adept at comedy and drama, which keeps the film from over-sentimentality.
