A big scale western from director Michael Curtiz, inspired by the exploits of Wyatt Earp, and telling the story of an ex-soldier who rides into the wild, outlaw-run cattle town of Dodge City. A place in need of a good honest sheriff. Featuring the definitive bar-room brawl, runaway trains and cattle stampedes, it was the principal inspiration for western spoof, 'Blazing Saddles'. A true-blue, slam-bang western, Errol Flynn stars along with Olivia de Havilland, Bruce Cabot and Ann Sheridan.
