All Gas and Gaiters

Between 1966 and 1971 the ecclesiastical rivalries at St. Oggs Cathedral entranced a generation of viewers. Now available for the first time are all eleven surviving episodes of this classic comedy series that aroused some controversy in its day with its portrayal of the clergy as bumbling incompetents. William Mervyn is the easygoing Bishop, Robertson Hare plays the boozy Archdeacon and Derek Nimmo, in one of his many priestly roles, is the naive Reverend Noote.
