State of the Union
Based on a hit Broadway play, this insightful Frank Capra film stars Spencer Tracy as a would-be presidential candidate and Katharine Hepburn as his estranged wife, who agrees to pose as a loving spouse for the campaign. Hepburn comes to care again for Tracy and tries to stop him abandoning his ideals for the sake of politics. Hepburn and Tracy's third film outing together also stars Adolphe Menjou, Angela Lansbury and Van Johnson.
