Bionicle: Mask of Light

Robotic island tribe the Matorans are protected by six powerful guardians known as Toa. Two small Matorans - the potentially heroic 'herald' and a historian-witness called 'chronicler' - find a sacred mask of light, suggesting the imminent arrival of a seventh Toa. Identifying that mystery figure proves difficult, however, especially with the evil Makuta attacking Matorans with mechanized-crayfish warriors in a bid to possess the precious mask. A dense fantasy that requires one to get up to speed quickly on a lot of exotic detail and history, but rewards viewers with an engaging tale told with unusually expressive CGI animation.
