Sir Edmund Hillary: 1919-2008

Sir Edmund Hillary, one of New Zealand's most beloved and internationally recognised heroes is profiled in the documentary 'Remembering Sir Ed'. Born in 1919, 'Sir Ed' would grow up to be an inventor, adventurer, educator and extraordinarily giving man, making a difference in New Zealand's history and contributing to the welfare of Nepalese people so generously he was revered and adopted by the whole country. Also featured are TVNZ's coverage of the State Funeral held in Auckland on the 22nd January, 2008 as well as a Thanksgiving Service hosted by Her Majesty The Queen at Windsor Castle in April 2008.
