A Fortunate Life

Based on A.B. Facey's seminal autobiographical novel, this acclaimed production spans the years from 1897 to 1916, from the Australian outback to Gallipoli. At eight years old Bert Facey was forced to start the backbreaking, dawn to dusk life of a farm labourer. Unschooled, with a dead father and absent mother, he had by age twenty survived the rigours of pioneering the harsh Australian bush and the slaughter of the bloody WWI campaign at Gallipoli. Contains the complete four-part mini-series.
