The Tarnished Angels

Based on the celebrated novel by author William Faulkner and set during the early 1930s this classic romance stars Robert Stack as Roger Schumann, a disillusioned former World War One pilot, whose family is forced to live in poverty while he pursues his only true love, the airplane. When New Orleans reporter Burke Devlin (Rock Hudson) runs across Schumann at a carnival, he becomes fascinated with his fall from grace, and drawn into Schumann's iconoclastic, individualistic lifestyle - with devastating results. Dorothy Malone plays the wife in the middle.
