Mala Noche

Writer/director Gus van Sant's debut feature, adapted from Walt Curtis' autobiographical novel. Living an isolated life in Portland, Oregon, slacker store clerk Walt (Tim Streeter) becomes infatuated with Johnny (Doug Cooeyate), a handsome drifter who hopped a cargo train from Mexico with his companion Roberto (Ray Monge) in tow. Sadly, Johnny only appears interested in working Walt's affections to his advantage.
