Disappearances
Near the end of Prohibition, a hardscrabble farmer (Kris Kristofferson) recruits his 15-year-old son (Charlie McDermott), his brother-in-law (Gary Farmer), and a hired hand (William Sanderson) for a dangerous trek through the Canadian wilderness, smuggling whiskey across the border in an effort to make some quick cash to help his family. Genevieve Bujold and Luis Guzman co-star in this rousing adventure based on the award-winning novel by Howard Frank Mosher.
