Leatherheads
Set in the world of 1920s football, George Clooney directs this screwball-style romantic comedy in which he also stars as Dodge Connelly, the captain of a beleaguered gridiron team. To save them, Dodge enlists a young gun college football star and war hero, Carter Rutherford - but is he too good to be true? Spitfire cub reporter Renee Zellwegger smells a rat and goes about trying to dig up the dirt on America's new favourite son. Meanwhile of course, the two men compete for her fickle affection in this throwback to comedies-gone-by.
