Doomsday ( Blu-ray )
30 years after an entire country was quarantined to stop the spread of a deadly virus, it has resurfaced in a major city, forcing a group of highly-trained individuals to head into the heart of darkness in search of a cure. Part 'Escape From New York' and part 'Mad Max 2', Neil Marshall's revved-up, sci-fi actioner has its tongue-in-cheek and its pedal on the metal, and will bring joy to all fans of '80s genre flicks with its truckload of blood, bullets and Mohawks. Among many of Marshall's regulars are veteran actors Bob Hoskins and Malcolm McDowell.
