Mamma Mia!
Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth may not be the first names that spring to mind for an Abba musical, but whoever thought of throwing them all together obviously made an inspired decision. With its sunny Greek location, eclectic A-list cast and sing-along score, this was a runaway box office smash and is pure, silly fun. Based on the West End musical that proceeded to storm the world, the film introduced a whole new generation to the Swedish supergroup, with Abba finding themselves at the top of the music charts again, more than 25 years after their split.
