Daughter from Danang

Evacuated from Vietnam in 1975 as an infant as part of the hotly controversial wartime program known as Operation Babylift, a fully Americanized Heidi Bub returned to the country of her birth decades later for a visit with her Vietnamese family, only to find that the reunion proves surprisingly complicated and difficult. This moving documentary is a fascinating exploration of family dynamics and cultural disconnect.
