The Orphanage

A gothic chiller featuring a woman returning to the now-closed orphanage where she was raised. Laura and her husband plan to reopen it as a home for disabled children, but as they go about refurbishing the place, their son's behaviour becomes strangely malicious. Produced by Guillermo del Toro ('Pan's Labyrinth'), this smart, scary horror draws on everything from 'Halloween' to 'Poltergeist' and is a promising debut from young Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona.
