Clubbed
Set firmly in 1980s industrial England where Danny is a down-trodden factory worker with less than nothing going for him. Even his kids think he's a loser. Things start looking up when he is taken under the wing of Louis (Colin Salmon), a local boxer, and gets a job with him as a bouncer, but predictably, Danny's good luck isn't about to last. Shady underworld drama from newbie Neil Thompson has its roots in the Guy Ritchie/Shane Meadows school of filmmaking.
