Ten Empty

When his mother died tragically after a protracted mental illness, Daniel left home; now ten years later he is returning to his father's house to be Godfather to his new baby half-brother. He finds his younger brother Brett has stopped talking and become reclusive, and the instant tension between Daniel and his dad, coupled by his brother's encroaching mental health crisis turns the weekend into a powder keg of repressed guilt, conflict and fear. Australian actor Anthony Hayes directed and co-wrote his first feature, about family secrets coming home to roost, with a fine cast that includes the great Jack Thompson in a supporting role.
