Land Mines: A Love Story

Controversial filmmaker Dennis O'Rourke ('Cunnamulla', 'The Good Woman of Bangkok') presents another narrative documentary that finds the heart and humanity in an extraordinary situation. Shah is an ex-soldier who now works as a poor cobbler in the city of Kabul, disabled from a land mine explosion. Despite conflicting religions and backgrounds Shah romances and marries another victim of the mines and they build a life together amidst the turmoil of modern-day Afghanistan.
