Chrysalis

A sci-fi thriller set in a startlingly realistic, and not-too-distant, future where a hard-boiled cop is only managing to stay on the job in the hope of finding the man, a human trafficker, who killed his partner and his wife. His investigations lead him to an experimental plastic surgery clinic where a girl who was injured in a car accident is the focus of new techniques that involve not only her appearance, but her memory and identity as well. As the pieces begin to fall into place, a disturbing picture comes into focus in this visually arresting, futuristic noir from promising first-time director Julien Leclercq.
