With the business failing and marital tension mounting, Mike needs a change of fortune when he saves a Hollywood star Chet (Tim Allen) from a beating. He is soon engaged as a consultant on the actor's latest movie, but all is not as it seems and Chet's agent (Mamet regular Joe Mantegna) has a devious scheme to profit at Mike's expense.
