Erskineville Kings
Two years ago, Barky escaped the torment of his drunken and abusive father and headed for the Queensland cane fields, leaving behind everything that was important for him - his brother, his girlfriend, his life. Now that his father is dead, Barky returns home to Sydney to find his brother Wace resentful and bitter. Barky soon discovers that if staying home was hard, coming back was even harder. In the Kings Hotel, beer, anger and pain prove to be a dangerous cocktail that sparks fights between the brothers who are fuelled by rage and a burning need to seek some sort of understanding of life after death.
