Bullied by a particularly nasty piece of work, teens Mark and James decide to make a plan and take action. But things take a turn when they accidentally discover the identity of a local serial killer and decide to blackmail him into killing their nemesis. Beautifully shot and wickedly smart in execution, this Aussie thriller is driven by powerhouse performances from its two adult leads, Joel Edgerton as the blackmailed killer and Michael Dorman as the vicious bully, Parker. Going for realism over melodrama, director Jon Hewitt patiently builds tension and then takes things where you least expected.
