Cowabunga dudes! Four turtles come into contact with nuclear waste and are (of course) turned into teenage heroes with ninja skills. Along with a rat mentor and a will to do good, the supernatural fighters live underground eating pizza and defeating baddies, while the vague love interest April O'Neill drifts in and out of their lives and their nemesis Shredder provides various threats to the city.
