Whispering Smith
Luke "Whispering" Smith (Alan Ladd) is a by-the-book, no-nonsense railroad detective who learns his friend, Murray Sinclair (Robert Preston), has been fired from his railroad job. Seeking vengeance, Sinclair begins helping outlaw Barney Rebstock (Donald Crisp) wreck trains.
