Paul Blart: Mall Cop
Kevin James stars in and also co-wrote this comedy in which he plays a single dad and wannabe State Trooper who instead patrols his local mall as a security guard. Not discouraged, Blart approaches the job with diligence and enthusiasm, despite being the butt of everyone's jokes. However he gets his chance to shine when gangsters dressed as Santa's helpers take over the mall, holding several hostages, including the object of Blart's affection. Largely constructed of fat jokes and slapstick, this amiable family comedy has plenty going for it, for a rainy day in with the kids.
