Oliver Stone is surprisingly sympathetic towards George Bush Junior in this biopic that stars Josh Brolin as America's 43rd president. Following him from his alcohol-soaked college years, through to his embracing of born-again Christianity and his life in the White House, Stone's historical drama was made while the history was still happening, and Bush was still in office. An absorbing and strangely enjoyable portrait of a man out of his depth and his calamitous presidency, part satire and part political drama, told through Dubya's eyes. Powerhouse cast includes Richard Dreyfuss, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Scott Glenn, Colin Hanks, Ellen Burstyn and James Cromwell as George Senior.
