Appaloosa ( Blu-ray )
After drifting into a troubled Western outpost and discovering the helpless locals are being terrorised by a ruthless rancher and his hired thugs, two rugged, straight-shooting peacemakers decide to stick around and put things right, in this western adapted from the novel by Robert B. Parker. Actor Ed Harris directed, co-wrote and co-stars with Viggo Mortensen as the two upstanding guns-for-hire who ride into town; Jeremey Irons is the source of everybody's trouble and Renee Zellwegger just might be the gal to tempt a die-hard renegade to settle down. Also amongst the excellent support cast of this old-style western are Timothy Spall, Tom Bower and Lance Henriksen.
