It's the summer of '87, and uptight college grad James (Jesse Eisenberg) has just had to give up a trip to Europe for a job at the local amusement park. So instead of German beer and French girls, James has to contend with kids on sugar highs and belligerent dads. However when he meets co-worker Em (Kristen Stewart), suddenly the worst summer ever doesn't seem so bad. Based on writer/director Greg Mottola's own job-from-hell experience, this insightful and nostalgic coming-of-age comedy explores first love with whimsy, humour, and music from David Bowie, The Cure, Husker Du and Lou Reed. Support includes Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig and Ryan Reynolds.
