Stone of Destiny
In 1950, Ian Hamilton, a student and dedicated nationalist, reignited Scottish national pride with his daring raid on Westminster Abbey to bring back the Stone of Scone. Based on Hamilton's memoir 'The Taking of the Stone of Destiny', the film recounts how he and several student buddies managed to pull the famous stone right out from under the Abbey's Coronation Chair. They also managed to get it all the way back to Scotland and handed it over to Church authorities, however the Church of Scotland decided to give it back to the English. Fascinating real-life misadventure with Charlie Cox, Billy Boyd, Kate Mara and Robert Carlyle.
