La Luna

When her husband dies suddenly, Caterina (Jill Clayburgh) takes her teenaged son to Italy, where she will be performing in several operas. As she immerses herself in the busy rehearsal schedule, she fails to notice that Joe (Matthew Barry) has fallen in with a bad crowd and has developed an addiction to heroin. In desperation, Caterina attempts to wean him off the deadly drug using one of the few means at her disposal: her sexuality. Shocking yet beautiful, "La Luna" makes perfect use of its stunning Italian location, and features a Golden Globe-nominated performance by Clayburgh.
