This comic, sentimental gem stars Spencer Tracy as a dad, coping with one emergency after another, as daughter Elizabeth Taylor prepares to walk down the aisle. Premiering just two days after Taylor's real-life marriage to hotel magnate, Conrad HIlton Jr, the film was a huge box-office success and was also nominated for Best Actor (for Tracy), Best Screenplay and Best Picture Oscars.
