The Damned United

Based on the incredible true story of Brian Clough (Michael Sheen), one of England's greatest football managers and his 44 controversial days in 1974 at the helm of reigning champs Leeds United. Clough left the Derby County squad he led to victory to join Leeds United A.F.C., the team's rival organisation. What follows prove decisive in Clough's career as he cruelly berates his new players and oversees their rapid downfall to the outrage and puzzlement of the public. Great ensemble cast includes Timothy Spall, Colm Meaney and Jim Broadbent. Screenplay by Peter Morgan ("The Queen", "Frost/Nixon").
