The Thief of Paris
Set in turn-of-the-century Paris, Georges Randal (Jean-Paul Belmondo) is shocked to learn that the uncle who raised him has not only squandered the younger man's inheritance, but has also arranged for the woman George loves (Genevieve Bujold) to marry a wealthy neighbour! Determined to retaliate for the betrayal, Georges steals the neighbour's riches. But when he realizes that thieving provides a thrill unlike any other, Georges embarks on a new life as a high-stakes burglar in this captivating comedy/drama.
