King Kong ( Blu-ray )
Updated misfire of the 1933 classic, produced by Dino De Laurentiis and starring Jeff Bridges as an anti-establishment paleontologist who stows away on a petroleum-scouting expedition to a newly discovered Pacific island that is home to the titular giant primate. Jessica Lange (in her film debut) co-stars as the down-and-out actress who becomes the object of Kong's affections. Peter Jackson would prove to be more successful with his 2005 remake.
