A Little Night Music
Stephen Sondheim's musical, based on Ingmar Bergman's film "Smiles of a Summer Night," receives a lavish big-screen adaptation. The story concerns the amorous misadventures of an Austrian lawyer (Len Cariou), his young wife (Lesley-Anne Down), the actress (Elizabeth Taylor) he once had an affair with, and other characters. Songs include "A Weekend in the Country" and "Send in the Clowns." Diana Rigg, Hermione Gingold also star.
