The first ever UK cop series to star a female lead, 'The Gentle Touch' introduced audiences to a new sort of law and order, and a new sort of main character with different problems and relationships. Detective Inspector Maggie Forbes (Jill Gascoine) has just been promoted but her celebration is cut short when her husband is killed in the line of duty. Ignoring direct orders to avoid any involvement in the case, she's determined to bring her husband's murderers to justice. Contains all seven episodes from Series One.
