Using Patricia Highsmith's novel, 'Ripley's Game', Wenders has made a spellbinding existential thriller which moves from the docks of Hamburg to the streets of New York. Dennis Hopper plays the gambler who lures Bruno Ganz deeper and deeper into international intrigue and murder. With cameo appearances by Sam Fuller, Nicholas Ray, Gerard Blain and Daniel Schmid.
