Female Perversions

Based on the Freudian texts of noted psychoanalyst Louise Kaplan, this intelligent, erotically charged and stylish film probes several dichotomies of the modern woman, particularly self image vs corporate expectations. Tilda Swinton plays Eve, a young and very successful lawyer. Her days are a tightrope act between extreme eloquence and frosty toughness on the one side and scaring vulnerability on the other. Her apparent elevation to the judges bench is interrupted by her kleptomaniac sister and while staying at her flat meets a young girl struggling with her budding femininity.
