Locked-in Syndrome

A 1995 stroke left French writer/magazine editor Jean-Dominique Bauby unable to move any part of his body except one eyelid. Despite his condition, he managed to compose and dictate his autobiography, "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly," which became a 2007 feature. Filmmaker Jean-Jacques Beineix ("Diva") recounts Bauby's moving life story in this documentary short. Also included are Beineix's directorial debut, the short fable "Mr. Michel's Dog" (1977), and his examination of Japanese pop culture, "Otaku" (1994).
