Trappist monks living in Algeria find their Catholic faith tested to the limit after a revolution takes place and the government urges them to abandon their monastery. Choosing instead to remain and refusing the protection of the army, the holy men are later taken hostage by a squad of Islamic terrorists. Based on true events that occurred in 1996, this moving and suspenseful French drama stars Lambert Wilson, Michael Lonsdale.
