Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz star in this remake of the 1966 comedy caper which starred Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine. Penned by the Coen brothers, the film follows London art curator Harry Deane (Firth) as he sets out to get revenge on his wealthy ex-employer Lionel Shahbandar (Alan Rickman) for years of humiliation and contempt. Aware of how desperately Shahbandar lusts after a rare Monet painting, Harry determines to sell him a fake and duly enlists the services of PJ Puznowski (Diaz), an eccentric Texan cowgirl, to convince the millionaire that her grandfather liberated the painting from Europe at the end of World War Two.
