The Godfather

Francis Ford Coppola's mafioso epic featuring Marlon Brando as the patriarch of the Corleone family. Based on Mario Puzo's novel, it's a masterful blend of family life and the family business. With Al Pacino as the good son, James Caan as the loose cannon, Robert Duvall as the family lawyer and Diane Keaton as a young schoolteacher who doesn't really know what she's marrying into. Music by Nino Rota.
