Madame Bovary

Set in Normandy, France, this is the classic story of Emma Bovary (Mia Wasikoswka), a young beauty who impulsively marries small-town doctor, Charles Bovary, to leave her father's pig farm far behind. Bored by her husband, yet dependent on him to cover the debts she has raised through lavish purchases, Madame Bovary pursues forbidden fantasies through a series of indiscreet seductions and adulterous affairs.
